Sunflowers in Nagano City Japan

// July 15th, 2009 // Comments // photography

Sunflowers are starting to bloom here in Japan. There are many around where I live and I think they are quite fabulous to see. They can get pretty big and the yellow is very beautiful. This is just a short clip taken with the Creative Vado HD to give you an idea of how they can be seen in Japan. This particular shot was taken near Nagano city in a residential area. Although these are pretty big, you can actually find sunflowers much bigger than this around the countryside. There are also a lot of bees around them too so you have to be careful. Ready to Roll!

Saw this guy on the sidewalk waiting for a red light to turn green. I really like how the brick wall provided a cool colored background for him and the motor bike. This was another fun shot from the day in the Nagano city, Japan.

Sakana Fan Japan

Contrast and Color is what prompted me to take this photo. It was shoot through a glass window thus you get slight streaks in the wood which gives it a unique look so it didn’t bother me at all. I actually like the added texture to the photo that reflections and marks on glass can achieve. I probably should have bought this fan as it was pretty colorful in the window. It definitely stood out.

Cup of Neon Japan

// July 2nd, 2009 // Comments // photography

This sign sticks out in the middle of nowhere. It’s funny because I always walk down this street and rarely noticed until today. I thought the orange, green, and blue colors gave this shot a colorful appeal. I should go back at night and see how it looks during that time.
