Canned coffee is extremely popular and quite the norm all over Japan. There are all kinds of coffee and the new Sugar Free Cafe Latte is my personal favorite right now.

Leaves in Autumn Japan

// July 26th, 2009 // Comments // video

My most favorite season in Japan is Autumn or Fall. The leaves are just gorgeous during this time not to mention the cooler air front just after the hot, humid summer. Fall in Japan is a time when I like to get out some of my unique lenses and head up into the Nagano Alps for some truly great photo opportunities. This Video is a collection of Autumn leaves taken with my Nikon DSLR using a wide variety of Nikon prime and zoom lenses. One of the many fun challenges is to come up with unique and creative ways to photograph leaves in Autumn. I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed photographing these subjects.

Midori Fiber Japan

// July 24th, 2009 // Comments // photography

During the summer in Japan you can find some pretty interesting sorts of vegetation. These sharp sword looking vegetation are fun to photograph. There are some interesting patterns or zig zags happening in the background which turned out pretty cool as well.

Aged Kanji Japan

// July 22nd, 2009 // Comments // photography

The sun gave this stone an aged sort of look. I enhanced the tones a bit in Photoshop but for the most part this is straight from the camera. It’s a cool kanji character as well.
